Yay, we finally started…………today was our first day of summer school. We have been so busy with the new baby we haven’t done any school. Shew. We are finally back on track.
I took an idea I found from other blogs and used a bucket and filled it with a hodgepodge of ideas. I color coded the activities red for Jada, yellow for Jasmine, blue for both at home activities and bonus, green for fun stuff away from home.
Jada’s first pick…..Butterfly pom-pom (hand eye coordination activity) This is very cute and both of the girls loved it and wanted to do it twice.
Jada did pattern beading, which is a ziploc activity my sister gave me. It came with a paper with different patterns on it beads (yellow, red and blue) and a strand of yarn. All you do is copy the pattern on the paper with the beads on the yarn.
We also did mystery bucket another idea from childcareland. Our three secret items were a duck, a pacifier and scissors.
Next we did alphabet circle time. I just took some fridge magnet letters and placed them on a cookie sheet.
We then read a bible story and had a snack.
The last pick of the day was animal dancing, turn on some music and dance like your favorite animals.
All in all it was another blessed day with my girls. It felt great to get back into the swing of things.
