We continue on in LHFHG. The girls are having a hard time getting used to doing almost the same thing everyday, because we used to just use workboxes and I planned all there activities for them which were new everyday. But I know that this is a good transition for them and they will get used to it:) All in all LHFHG is a rich curriculum and I really like it.
Praise and worship, prayer and scripture talk have really been on fire. God has been showing us amazing things through His word and really opening us up to how wants our homeschool day to go, which is sometimes not as I planned, but we just give in and allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our days and wow have we been blessed by it!! GLORY! We started a new thing..While the girls are eating there food, I am reading the word and talking about what God is revealing to us through those scriptures…Amazing!
A few key points:
Scripture: Matthew 22:37 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
~We have been talking about how important it is to love God and put Him first in all we do.
History: Moses and God’s people exile from Egypt.
~God freed the people and all they did was murmur and complain and doubt God, yet God still would supply all their needs and keep them safe from calamity…Why? Cause God is love and He gives us new mercies everyday!!
Character of the week: Orderly- 1Corninthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
~I have really been on the girls about this FOREVER! God has blessed them with there nice things they have to care for them. Well, here lately I have really been seeing some breakthroughs in this long, long battle. They have moments now of being orderly..sigh of relief:) So for now I will praise God for each small improvement and continue to stay patient when it seems nothing is changing.
Science: Clouds and Birds
All About Spelling: Mastering the phonograms
Here are a few pics from our week:)
We did a Leaf print painting which I blogged about HERE!
We learned about clouds and how they fill with water, when they are full it rains. We dipped cotton balls in water and watched them rain.
We then used cotton balls to create a sky with 3 different types of clouds.
Rhymes in motion:)
Jada’s handwriting (HOH)
Beginning sounds cards.
Reading practice. (HOP)
