I Love. Love. Love. Bibles. I get giddy like a school girl when I get a new one. I love to read and I love books of all kind, but bibles are by far my fave!! So when the new Zondervan NIV Bible for Teen Girls arrived at my house I was soooo excited. Excited to check it out, Excited to share my findings with you and SUPER DUPER Excited to give one away to one of my amazing readers! Yep! That’s right! One of you will get one for FREE!! Can you tell I’m excited? hahaha!
When I started shopping for my oldest daughter to purchase her first bible it was exhausting to say the least. So many options. Adventure, Journal, Character, Study Bibles oh my! So many options…too many chances to choose the wrong one. I wanted her to fall in love with the bible like I did. So it was STRESSFUL. I felt like her future was in my hands. I thought that if she fell in love with her bible she would ultimately stay committed to Jesus and on and on and on. Pretty sad huh? OK calm down, just keeping it real here. Losing my peace over the purchase of a bible? Really? Well yep it happened!
It wasn’t until I found “The ONE” that I finally relaxed… I just knew this was “it” the perfect fit the one that would lead her into her perfect relationship with Jesus. Pretty dramatic I know, but that’s how I roll! So If I can help someone just a little to make a huge choice like… say… purchasing their teenagers bible, I am all for it.
And now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is love. -1 Corinthians 13:13
My Thoughts
First off this bible is a gorgeous, girly, hard cover. So very durable and very pretty. At first glance this looks like any other girly bible, but when you really dive in, there are some amazing features. Each feature (listed below) is designed to come along side and help your teen daughter grow and nurture her relationships with God and others.
Each book of the bible starts with a quick overview and explanation of what the book is about, who is in the book, important verses and time it took place. Very cool to get the backstory. Great idea for new bible readers. I would recommend this for all bibles, lol I would love it in mine actually. I don’t even know all this info.
I love the growing in faith feature, this is written by a few different female authors including Bethany Hamilton (Soul Surfer), Annie Downs, Christine Caine, Nicole Weider, Elsa Kok Colopy, Crystal Kirgiss, Bekah Hamrick Martin, Denise Van Eck, and more. These devotionals really dig into everyday life real situations they may encounter while they are in the trenches of the teenage years. Self image, spirituality, helping others, bullying, death of loved ones and so much more. Your daughters are gonna love this bible.
Another of my fave features is that throughout the whole bible there are key scriptures (promises of God and verses worth remembering) highlighted. I myself, am an avid highlighter. I highlight anything that speaks to me, which is most every scripture lol. No but really I think it is a great idea and looks really nice too.
This bible has some extras worth noting also. Table of weights and measures, cause who really knows how much a shekel is? There’s a topical index, index of Women of the Bible, Index of devotions for growing in Faith, Hope and Love and a concordance as well.
This is a perfect bible for any young lady growing in faith. I would totally recommend it to anyone.

My 16yo dyslexic daughter is actually improving her reading skills (4th grade level) by reading God’s Word. She does not have her own cool bible, but uses a children’s bible, so this would be awesome for her to have. It’s designed for girls her age and I especially like the highlighted verses and the daily reading plan.

I love how key and important verses are highlighted throughout the Bible. My daughter loves to memorize scripture, so this would help her find new verses to memorize and hide the Word in her heart.

I love several things about this Bible. I like that it has daily readings to get my daughter in the Word daily. I also like the character profiles, and the book introductions. My middle daughter is turning 13 in a few weeks, she has been asking for a more “grownup” Bible. Thank you for the review and giveaway!
