Homeschooling preschool is my favorite! I miss it so much. My youngest is now almost 10 so it’s been a few years, but I have so many fond memories of all the fun hands on activities we did. I remember when each one of my girls learned the alphabet, to tie their shoes and to identify the shapes.

We used to play a super fun Alphabet hunting game. I would hide all of our foam letters and yell out a sound or a letter name and they would run and giggle and search. It was so fun!
When I taught preschool I used the workbox system (image below, top-left sorry I couldn’t find the original pic)
She was given 6 workboxes (plastic shoe boxes with lids) that I had set up on a shelf and had velcro dots labeled 1-6 on each box. Every other day she would do each activity in numerical order until finished. I added a mixture of hands-on activities and simple academic activities from curriculum. I’ve tried quite a few different curriculums, here is my list of top preschool curriculums below.

This is the first curriculum we ever purchased, I used it for preschool with my oldest daughter. We loved it and went back to this curriculum several more years of and on. It is very comprehensive and I love all the books!
I started using level K Language Arts with my struggling to read 8 year old (3rd grader) last year and now we are about to start Level 2 at the end of 4th grade and she is flying! She is growing in her reading and phonics leaps and bounds and I have this curriculum and The Reading Lesson to thank for it.
