When I first made the decision to follow Christ and live my life following His calling on my life, I never realized the new enemy I had just made. Soon after though the realization came into full effect. I knew that I had now entered into the battle, whoa this is real folks!
The enemy is trying to shame Christians, he is trying to hold our tongue from speaking life. He never sleeps or takes a break, constantly and consisting looking for a crack to sneak into. He tries to shut our mouth from speaking the truth. We need to always be awake and aware of his constant sly and slick tactics. He is the master deceiver.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.~1 Corinthians 1:18
What really matters? Does it really matter if your family thinks you’re crazy? Or all your old friends won’t call you to hang out anymore? Does it really matter if people look at you funny when you pray and give thanks for your food at a restaurant or a neighbor’s barbecue? Or if you lay your hands and speak healing in the name of Jesus over your child when they fall and skin their Knee at the park?
Do you think Jesus cared what people thought about Him when He healed the multitude, walked on water, turned water into wine, spit in the dirt and rubbed it in a blind man’s eyes?{The list goes on and on} …uh no. All He cared about was loving, helping, healing, saving. He never once stopped to think “What do they think about me, are they making fun of me?”
Come on Christians it is time to take a stand not against flesh and blood{people} but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil-Ephesians 6:12 {satan & his demons}
I know people, even Christians, get a little unnerved at the mention of satan and demons, but why? he is our enemy you better believe he is real or I have news for you, you’re being tricked. It’s time to really take a stand and go boldly into battle, armored up, trusting God, not ourselves. The war has already been won, but the battle is still at large.
So the next time the devil tries to make you cower down and shrink back and pretend to be someone you are not, you stand up with power and authority that was given to you through the blood of Jesus. Speaking and doing only what the father says. You will soon be strengthened and any shame or doubt will leave you. Say I am not ashamed. I love Jesus. I believe He died for me to be eternally loved, blessed, healthy, wealthy and whole in Jesus name. Amen.
