It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Wouldn’t you agree? Looking for ways to keep Christ the Center this Christmas? This collection of 25 Christ-Centered Christmas Books is perfect way to bring the focus back on the true meaning.
Christmas is special in so many ways. This is the time of year when all those special Christmas childhood memories come flooding back. People seem to have a little more skip to their step and twinkle in their eye. Well at least that’s how I remember it as a kid. As an adult, things seem to be a bit more stressful and Fa-la-la-la-la-la starts to sound like fingernails on a chalkboard. Many years it just seemed like Christmas was more stressed than blessed.
The warm fuzzy feeling and power of God’s love, joy and peace are in abundance this time of year, but the stress, the rush and the gimmies seem to drowned it all out sometimes. We have so much to be thankful for! If we put the focus back on Christ we can start to enjoy it again. We have just got to remember JESUS is the REASON for this SEASON. So cliche I know, but TRUTH nonetheless.
I’m sorry, I just get a little excited this time of year. I’m going to confess, I’ve had my Christmas tree up since 2 or maybe even 3 weeks before Thanksgiving. I honestly feel that the two holidays compliment each other and should be celebrated together. I don’t do it to skip, or forget Thanksgiving. They just fit together.
The earliest I’ve ever put my tree up was about 4 years ago. Shhh don’t tell anyone, but we decorated on Halloween for Christmas that year. We don’t celebrate Halloween, and I was in the mood for an early Christmas, so we went with it.
One of my favorite things to do is read to my kids. I’ll probably be reading to them until they are moved out of the house lol. Finding good Christmas books is a new tradition I’m going to start this year. Sure, we’ve read 2 or 3 over the years, but this year I’m planning on wrapping a few Christ-Centered Christmas books and putting them under the tree and we can unwrap and read together everyday.
So in light of this I wanted to share 25 Christ-Centered Christmas books with you, just in case you decide you want to start this tradition too. Some of these are the true story and some are based on fictional characters.
