Enjoy these tasty Cinnamon Apple Pecan Squares. They are good warm or cold. I personally like to eat them warm with vanilla ice cream, everything is better with ice cream! Pack a few and take them with you for a quick snack on the go. My kiddos love anything sweet, so these are perfect.
Cinnamon Apple Pecan Squares Recipe
Makes 16 servings.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon Pure Cinnamon Extract
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
1 egg
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup finely chopped peeled apple
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Add butter, sugar and pure extracts in a large bowl and mix until well blended. Stir in egg. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. Stir in apples and pecans.
2. Spread in lightly greased 8-inch square pan.
3. Bake 20 – 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares (yields approximately 16 squares).
