This Week in our Homeschool Preschool we experienced fall in all the beautiful changes taking place. This is the first week of our two week fall themed activities. There were so many different things I wanted to do with the little ladies that I couldn’t narrow it down….so I just decided to take a couple weeks to work through it all slowly.
This week:
Jasmine did a leaf sort….
We went on a leaf walk to collect some leaves…
My oldest daughter Jada decided none of the leaves were good enough to keep(no purple leaves), so she came home with an empty bag:( Meanwhile Jasmine had leaves, pine cones and pine needles in hers:)
The girls made pizza for dinner…I usually have them make this every time we have it for dinner, so they are getting pretty good at it!
Jasmine and her baby worked on beginning sounds cards from Prekinder.com
Jada worked on her listening skills using her Fridge Words Magnetic Word Builder

Jasmine built a castle.
We made hand and forearm print trees. I painted her hand and arm with brown paint which we did not have so I mixed red and green to make our own…
Put the print on the paper…I pressed down on each finger to make a good print. We let ours dry before doing the next step.
We added fall colored leaves. These turned out very cute.
We used pine cones to paint with…
We tried it with the paper taped to the bottom of this box and covered the pine cone with paint and rolled it around in the box…I’ve seen this done with golf balls, so I figured why not a pine cone:o) After that we actually painted the pine cones with a paintbrush( I might use them as CHRISTmas tree ornaments).
Both of the girls love this interactive Dora dvd-which came with a mat and maracas:) Can not find a link for this…sorry! My sister got it for them last year…I think through Avon or something similar.

I love the handprint trees – very sweet! Also, the different looks on the girls’ faces in the picture where they were gathering things in their bags is sooo cute and very telling! 🙂 We love fall too, and these are all great activities – very inspiring!
