When the negative thoughts speak loud
I’ve had so many nights in the last 17 years of motherhood that I allowed condemnation, guilt and shame to drowned me. I allowed negative self-talk to take hold way too many times.
I would think things like – Why did I yell at my daughter today over something so ridiculous? Why didn’t I get the laundry done today? Why didn’t I make something healthier for dinner? Why can’t I get it together? These thoughts can be debilitating and they always come right when you are trying to go to sleep or they talk so loud that they wake you up and 3 am never to release you and let you rest.
Do not give these thoughts a place in your day. As soon as they pop up you have to be quick to knock them out. It’s just the enemy attacking your mind and trying to keep you down. Motherhood is not easy so remember to give yourself grace!
The Word of God is a powerful weapon. You can fight those thoughts with it. This will help you become a better mom to your young kids.
