Well this WAS our Thanksgiving theme week….but we didn’t do a whole lot cause of the cold and flu that tore through our house=( Glory to God we are all on the mend now! I am forever THANKFUL that we have God to lean on and trust in during these trials in life. What HOPE would We have without the ALMIGHTY!
1 Peter 2:24 Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were HEALED.
Here are a few Thanksgiving Activities we DID do this week:
Here are the girls working sluggishly on their work~ Jasmine is working on pattern beading. Jada is working on clothespin abc match-up.
Jasmine tracing her shapes.
What fun would Thanksgiving activities be without a turkey? We did a do-a-dot turkey:)
My sweet baby Jordan now almost 6 months!! Oh what a joy she is!!
Jasmine working on her shape sorting mat….
Jada working through her beginning sounds cards…
The girls colored and cut out these pilgrims…they are in DIRE need of scissor practice!!
Jada really needs help she gets very frustrated, she is a lefty and I guess I just don’t know how
to teach a lefty…anyone else have this problem with their lefties?
I thought this Indian corn activity was really cute:) My initial plan for this project was to
dye some popcorn (if that is even possible?) and have them glue that, but alas didn’t
really feel up for that this week.
Jada learning the value of money….
Playing their Mickey Mouse game…this is cool for number and letter recognition!
We made woven place mats these are fun and easy this is one of the only projects I remember making when I was a kid…so of course I had to make one too. We also made one for daddy:)
Fold a large sheet of construction paper in half the long way. Cut slits into the folded side, eachabout 1 inch apart. Cut several one inch strips of paper (assorted colors) and then weave the paper through the slits of the frame. Glue down loose ends. Then laminate if possible.
And finally….Jada playing the Vmotion=)
We also talked about the meaning of Thanksgiving, the first Thanksgiving and wrote out a “Things we are thankful for 2010 journal/time capsule.” We will get it out next year and compare!
Well thanks again for stopping by. Next week we are on Thanksgiving break (yay)! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Blessings!!
